Badge Operation
Check-out a badge
- BL-IWA requires authorization to remove a badge from a cradle so a BL-IWA account is needed
- A badge must be plugged in before it can be authorized.
- If a user tries to remove a badge from its power source before it is authorized,
- an alarm will sound and a notification to the server will be sent.
- The LED on the badge will be lit if the badge is ready for checkout
- Scan the QR code on the badge you would like to check out
- Follow the QR code to the log-in web app.
- Enter your credentials into the log-in app.
- Upon successful login, you will be led to the IWA Badge Authorize web application
- The authorize button in the first card of the app should be highlighted in color.
- If not, the badge has been disabled
- It can be enabled under the Settings card of the app
- Press the authorize button in the first card of the IWA Badge Authorize web application
- If the authorization is successful, the LED will blink and the the buzzer on the badge will sound three times.

Motion Detection
- If the badge has not moved for 60 seconds, it will send a single beep to the buzzer but does not send a notification to the server.

- The badge can be placed in Fika mode by pressing the badge button quickly three times.
- When entering Fika mode, the badge will beep quickly three times and the LED will turn on steady.
- The motion alarm will not sound when the badge is in Fika mode.
- If the badge is moved while in Fika mode, the Fika mode will end and the LED will go out. The badge is then in operating mode.
Badge outside wireless range
- If the badge does not detect a wireless signal, the badge will begin to beep and blink every 100 mS
- It will try to reconnect to the wireless network every 20 seconds.
- After 5 wireless connection attempts, the badge will reboot it self and come back up with a constant beep while it tries to connect.
- When the badge reconnects, it will go back into normal operations with the badge authorized to the same user.
- If the badge does not connect back to the wireless network after 2 minutes (which can be changed), a notification will be sent to the server.
Check-in a badge
- Simply plug the badge back into power and it will remove the current authorization.
